Week 13: Critical Reflection

At the beginning of this course, I set a few goals and objectives that I intend to achieve by the end of this module. These objectives were to better communicate my intentions effectively and at the same time be able to think coherently leading to sound judgments. Throughout these albeit short and impactful three months,Continue reading “Week 13: Critical Reflection”

Design Summary Reader Response: Triple-bogie system

In the article “Moving on Mars” (2019), the European Space Agency (ESA) documented the locomotion system of Rosalind Franklin that was created for the ExoMars mission in 2023. The system combines several different components to traverse the various terrain of Mars. From past experiences, the wheels of other rovers tend to get stuck while carryingContinue reading “Design Summary Reader Response: Triple-bogie system”

Reader response draft 3: Locomotion system of Rosalind Franklin ExoMars Rover

The triple-bogie locomotion system on the Rosalind Franklin ExoMars rover was implemented by the European Space Agency (ESA) after several rover missions to Mars. The triple-bogie made wheel-walking possible and allowed the rover to gain traction in the varying Martian terrain. The system also allows the rover to overcome large obstacles and achieve smoother motion. Continue reading “Reader response draft 3: Locomotion system of Rosalind Franklin ExoMars Rover”

Reader Response Draft 1: Locomotion system

After doing a considerable amount of research on the locomotion system utilized by the Rosalind Franklin Mars rover, I am confident that it is capable of traversing the perilous surface of Mars. In the article “Moving on Mars” (2019), the European Space Agency (ESA) stated that the introduction of a triple-bogie system that made wheel-walkingContinue reading “Reader Response Draft 1: Locomotion system”

Summary draft 2: Locomotion System of ExoMars

In the article “Moving on Mars” (2019), the European Space Agency (ESA) documented the locomotion system of Rosalind Franklin that was created for the ExoMars mission in 2023. The system combines several different components to traverse the various terrain of Mars. The article states that the wheels of other rovers tend to get stuck whileContinue reading “Summary draft 2: Locomotion System of ExoMars”
